We had the good fortune of connecting with Reshauna Striggles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reshauna, how do you think about risk?
Risk-taking is a necessity. When going into entrepreneurship, every move you make is a risk but every risk comes with a reward. Whether it comes in the form of a lesson learned or a major come-up, it WILL be worth it. So take a chance, spread your wings, and believe you can fly. Before you know it you’ll be soaring and that’s how it worked for me. My biggest win came after I made the decision to pack up and move to LA without a plan. (I don’t suggest this) I learned how to be resourceful on a new level. I learned how to learn faster, and take care of a wider workload. I learned how to effectively communicate my worth and MEAN IT. Most of all I gained the type of PR clients I had always dreamed of.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I want the world, and especially young girls, to know that you can forge your own path. When I wanted to jump into Social Media and PR, large parts of my career didn’t even exist yet. My ASU counselor looked me in the eye and told me Public Relations didn’t exist. I didn’t let that stop me, I pushed on and created my own agency. A place that could hold dreams as big as mine and help others produce their own. I’m glad I went this route and I wouldn’t change it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love finding cool coffee shops and libraries to work in. Some of my favorites are Fame Caffe, Breakfast Bitch, and the Scottsdale library. I spend most of my days there unless it’s the weekend. If my friends are coming to town, I’d take a day off and take them to one of our Axe throwing ranges in the afternoon and then to see some local acts at Poetic Soul on Wednesdays. Always a good time. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Elizabeth Wilkerson, Author – For telling me to pick a place and move for a month.
