We had the good fortune of connecting with Rhonda Steinke and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rhonda, what is the most important factor behind your success?
By staying connected to why I am in business. I have always wanted to help alleviate suffering so people can have more in their lives. I like doing this in the simplest form possible however the how can change as I evolve and depending on the needs of the person. Owning my own business has provided me the flexibility to adjust services or products to yield the most sustainable how. I simply get shear joy when someone not only feels better but is empowered and engaged in life ready to move forward.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Myself and my husband Jeff Potts, NMD own Health Through Nature, a Naturopathic Medical practice where patients are evaluated to see if there is anything urgent or important medically that needs to be addressed by a conventional medical team then treated to remove subtle obstacles or imbalances causing symptoms or affecting quality of life. Medicine could be homeopathic remedies, medical food, diets, optimal nutrition or botanicals. Other tools used are Pranic Healing, acupuncture, and structural alignment. If necessary, we are licensed to prescribe pharmaceutical medications however we try to use tools that enhance vitality. Jeff and I are also Basic Pranic Healing Instructors where we teach courses on how to apply Pranic Healing skills to help heal yourself. Pranic Healing is what sets us aside the most in Naturopathic Medicine as it is not part of the Naturopathic Medical curriculum. It is also our favorite modality because the patients get involved in their healing journey.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I go out, outside is what I love the most which is nice when I spend most of my free time at the soccer fields of Crossroads park in Gilbert. However, with an out of town guest we would definitely go hiking. South mountain is easily accessible and close. I like the Beverly Canyon Trailhead you get your heart pumping right away with a quick incline however be aware it drops quickly at the end and I have yet to get my 80 lb dog down the ledge without carrying her! Other ideas would be pickleball ball at Gilbert Regional Park, a trip out to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum or a nice yoga class. Since she would be here for a week we would have a variety of food including fresh green juice from the Original Chop, Italian White Bean and Kale soup from Picazzo’s, and Holy Shiitake pizza from Mellow Mushroom. I find joy at the Gilbert Farmer’s Market and have had a great time at Schnepf’s farm.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Pranic Healing has enhanced every aspect of my life. I learn how to heal myself and others quickly and deeply. I learn systematized energetic concepts that previously weirded me out or left me confused. I learn energetic tools to enhance my relationships and my business and in the process of taking Pranic Healing courses I have become kinder. Most importantly, I go back to review the material for when I mess up or get stuck. I did not personally meet the founder of modern Pranic Healing, Master Choa Kok Sui, but have been blessed to have one of his students, Master Steven Co, as my main teacher.
