We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Spector and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sara, what’s the most important think you’ve done for your children?
Our children are always watching. Always. They may not do what we say but they certainly copy what we do. Having my two boys watch me put my health first…having them see that fitness and exercise is healthy, fun and a priority is one of the most important thing I have done for them. In watching me they have a healthy relationship with exercise and fitness and have made it part of their every day lives.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
FIT4MOM is the nation’s leading company for pre and postnatal health, wellness, and fitness programs for every stage of motherhood. From pregnancy through postpartum and beyond, our fitness and wellness programs help make moms strong in body, mind, and spirit. While finess is the keystone to our group the magic, the cement is in the friendships and support this groups provides to one another. We know that moms struggle to make themselves a priority so we help get them closer by bringing the workouts to where moms already are…the parks! No child care? No problem! Our stroller fitness classes are meant to bring kids in tow. The amount of empowerment and encouragement from other moms is so powerful and so healing. You can feel right at home, even in your first class, with this village.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite spots in the valley is Boyce Thompson Arboretum. A short drive will take you out of the city and into beautiful mountain views. The arboretum is full of flowers, trees and a beauty that one would not expect in the desert. Trails will take you around to a lake and stream, through various regions of plants and breath-taking views.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Motherhood wasn’t meant to be done alone. It takes a village to get you through the hard times and to help celebrate the wins. Shoutout to my village at FIT4MOM Central East Valley who give me a reason to keep going!
