We had the good fortune of connecting with Shane Eckart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shane, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I first began my career as a photographer, I always had a passion for capturing special moments that could be cherished forever. For as long as I can remember I always had a camera in my hand as a young child. I worked my first paid job while still in high school, photographing a wedding. In the 30 plus years since I have broadened my photography not to only include weddings, but portraits, special events, band and concert photography.
Overall, my thought process for starting my own business was all about taking control of my passion and turning it into a career. I wanted to have the freedom to create and capture unforgettable memories while providing my clients with a truly exceptional experience. Being able to turn my passion into a business has been a dream come true, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision to take that leap of faith and start my own business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Absolutely. I think what sets me apart is my ability to capture authentic emotions and personalties in my photos. I strive to create images that tell a story and bring the viewer into the moment. I also have a strong passion for working with live bands and capturing the energy of their performances in my photos. I strive to capture the joy, excitement of each moment.

I am most proud of the relationships I have built with my clients. It is such an honor to be chosen to capture important moments in their lives. I am also excited about the opportunities to work with new bands and explore new ways to capture their unique personalities.

It wasn’t always easy when I started my business. Even today their are struggles. I strive to develop my own style and create new relationships. Learning new technology and equipment is a struggle because things are always changing, equipment is always getting better. It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication to become the photographer I am today!

I want the world to know that I am passionate about creating beautiful and meaningful photos that capture the essence of the moment. Whether it’s a wedding, a portrait session, or a live band performance, I strive to create images that my clients will treasure for a lifetime. I also want to be known for my professionalism, dedication, and commitment to providing an exceptional experience for each and every client.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There’s so much to see and do in Arizona, it’s hard to narrow it down to just one itinerary.

Take a day trip up to Sedona. Do a little hiking and site seeing. Enjoy some of the local hotspots in Sedona. Maybe do a promtu photoshoot at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. Enjoy a nice dinner at a nice restaurant there before calling it a day.

Take a day trip to Payson and go to the Mogollon Rim for some site seeing and hiking.

One day just rest and relax and enjoy a day by the pool during the hot summer months, have a cookout on the grill, some great drink and have great conversation.

Maybe take another day trip to the Verde Valley and up to Jerome, a charming small town built on a hill overlooking the Verde Valley. We’d visit the Jerome State Historic Park, the Gold King Mine Ghost Town, and have lunch at the Asylum Restaurant at the Jerome Grand Hotel.

On the weekend we would head out to The 44 or Cactus Jacks or any of the night clubs that have live music. Check out a few of the local bands and dance the night away.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First like to dedicate this to my parents who have encouraged and supported me in this photography journey.

Second to all of my friends who have encouraged me and who have liked my photos on all the social media platforms.

Third to the endless photographers, professional and amateur photographers whose work has inspired and encouraged me to become better.
