Meet Shawnte Hernton: Fashion Stylist/ Creative Director/ Published Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawnte Hernton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shawnte, what do you attribute your success to?
I feel that it is my customer service background. I have over 20 years of experience from working at various call centers. When you work at a call center, you go through weeks of extensive training to learn how to engage with customers and use empathy. You also learn how to build rapport and connect. I use the same training and processes that i have adapted over the years and apply them in my own personal business.  

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I stay busy by trying to stay engaged with my audience by trying to think of creative ways to stand out and display my craft. I have just started to get into thrift shopping and I am recording my shopping tips and tricks and providing different ways to wear the pieces

I  offer a variety of styling services to my clients throughout the US and with those services my days may consist of FaceTime or Zoom calls doing a  virtual styling and consultation.  I am also performing local services to clients as well. I may be a Wardrobe Stylist or Creative Director on a shoot or I could be performing a closet audit or personal shopping job.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a morning walk, I love to go to Kiwanis Park to walk around the lake or Arizona Grand to walk around the resort and enjoy the golf course views. For afternoon or dinner fun I enjoy Topgolf. I love places that the whole family can enjoy. I have 3 kids and this place is great for any age. 

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I honestly want to shoutout anyone that I have worked with. My talents and skills are all self taught and I appreciate you believing in it to work with me. I believe in every person that I have ever worked with. There is really a lot of great talent out here and every single person that I have worked with is incredibly amazing in their craft.
