We had the good fortune of connecting with Shylo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shylo, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After many years of offering healing services as a side gig, I officially started Path of Alignment in September 2022. I knew that if this was the career I want I needed to make it official. Filing for my LLC was the first step in letting the Universe know, “I am ready!” At the end of 2020 I lived in New Jersey, and I was 5 years into working for a corporate spa. I use to work full time at the spa and then take energy healing clients on the side at my home studio. I was so passionate about helping others heal and I considered going off on my own during that time, but something kept telling me “Not here.” August 2021, I moved across the country to Arizona and less than 2 years later I left my corporate spa job and officially went off on my own! Starting Path of Alignment was all about me being in alignment and trusting my divine plan!

What should our readers know about your business?
Path of Alignment (POA) encompasses a lot of things. The name is inspired by the many paths we walk. Some of those paths lead you to your highest expression, others are dead ends and detours. I believe all the paths offer us something. I am the solo practitioner of POA and I design all my offerings to bring my clients into deeper alignment with their true essence. My intention is to help others heal. That could look like an Energy Healing session, a Holistic Facial, a 1:1 breathwork session, a Spiritual Life Coaching session. Last year I began leading healing retreats! The retreats have brought me and many others so much joy and love. I help others move through emotional, energetic, spiritual, and physical roadblocks. I believe I got to where I am today by truly connecting with each client I work with. In today’s world it’s so easy to get caught up in everything else but ourselves. However, the relationship that we have with ourselves is the most important relationship in our lives. When I am given the opportunity to hold space and allow my clients to feel seen and heard, miracles happen. Because we all have the answers within ourselves, sometimes we just need to be reminded.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are definitely going to Sedona! The energy and views in Sedona are out of this world! We would do a beautiful hike like Devils Bridge or Subway Cave and then be tourists in town by grabbing a bite to eat and doing some shopping! Once we were back in the Valley, I would show her Papago Park and the Salt River. We would have to eat at Snooze, Picazzos, & Postinos… not all in the same day… well maybe 😉 We would hit up Monkey Pants in Tempe for some karaoke on Saturday night! Arizona is such a beautiful space for self discovery! There’s so much to do no matter what your interests are.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to Jessica Lewis. Jessica introduced me to Reiki and held space for me while I embarked on my own healing journey. Jessica was my first spiritual teacher. I will be forever grateful for our friendship and all that I have learned from her over the years. Thank you so much Jess, you helped me become who I am today! <3
