We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephany Arciga and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephany, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My mindset wasn’t always to start my own business. I had always imagined myself in the medical field. It wasn’t until recently, that I began to think differently. I started working at the early age of 16. Working overnights, doing overtime, jumping from job to job. You get tired working for someone else; doing the most for a job that, in reality, could care less about you. Eventually, I started to surround myself with groups of people that had bigger mindsets; mindsets of giving themselves better lives. I was seeing them doing big things; starting their careers – doing things that seemed, successful, in my opinion. I felt like I was nowhere near that. Around the age of 19, I started getting my lashes done. I had very many terrible experiences during the time period of one year, while getting them done. The last time I got them done was by far my worst experience. It was definitely my last straw.
During that same year, after that experience, I felt like I wanted to change other people’s experiences. I decided I wanted to do Eyelash Extensions myself, so I could give others better experiences than what I have had.
I began my research and dug very deep into eyelash extensions. I was so intrigued by all of it – the process, the outcome, etc. Once I was almost positive I wanted to do extensions, I came across a small problem: Would I even like doing it? I decided to purchase every item I had seen online that I would need. Once it all arrived, I jumped right into it. I didn’t know what I was doing but i KNEW I loved it. Immediately, I took a course and got my certification. I promised myself to always give my clients amazing experiences, because it was something I never got.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I do Eyelash Extensions. Its a form of art that is rapidly growing in the beauty industry. Im most excited for the future and what it holds for me. I started out with nothing and slowly, but surely, everything is coming into place for me. Getting where I am now, was a challenge and something new that I had to overcome. It has not been easy. I had to really push myself out into the world. I had to learn how to advertise myself, how to communicate professionally, how to meet new people. I’ve learned that if you really want something, you need to work hard at it. I want people to know that I created my business for the experience of others. I don’t want people to have bad experiences when they pay for a luxury service, such as eyelash extensions. I love what I do and I want others to recognize that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots in the city include anything that has to do with swimming, shopping or eating. Some of my favorite lakes to swim are Lake pleasant and Canyon lake. For shopping, i like going to outlets, malls, boutiques, etc. My favorite foods are anything fast food. I love salads as well. My favorite deserts are pazookies and boba.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to recognize my Grandpa, who payed for my education in eyelash extensions. I also want to give a shout-out to my parents for always supporting me in what I do & a shout-out to my boyfriend, Jovani, for pushing me to stay motivated.
