We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor René Holly-Wood and we’ve shared our conversation below.
I am someone that thoroughly loves being an Entrepreneur, and I would say that the single most important decision that I have made that contributes to my success would be to believe in my faith. When you work for yourself, there isn’t a how-to guide to follow, or someone to bounce ideas off of at times. It is in those times that you need to trust in yourself, and your faith! Working for yourself is not easy, but it is truly rewarding!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am definitely a creative thru and thru. By day I teach dance to an awesome group of young dancers that never cease to amaze me. I feel that my Dance Company PDYA (Pro Dance Yard Academy) sets me apart because I have almost a decade of trained dancers that I can share my knowledge, experience and opportunities with! By night on the weekdays, I am writing music, and practicing songs, or rehearsing for any music videos, or upcoming shows (now that we are slowly opening with entertainment, lol). On the weekends, it is full speed ahead! Photo shoots to support my brand, Bold and Brazen, currently featuring a super talented model on the rise Diana Herrera, Video Shoots to keep my albums relevant and on radar, and recording every Sunday for my 3rd album! I got to where I am today, because I work very hard! My work ethic is very strong, and I have always been determined to make a name for myself…..and even though I have been knocked down so many times, I always manage to get back up! Is it easy? No! I have battled bullying, depression, hardship, abuse, and some very trying struggles and trauma, but I always find my way back thru some creative outlet! I have learned to Let Go, Let Love win, and to Let God! I’m a go getter, and I want the world to know that with hardwork, passion, dedication, and perseverance, Anyone can make their dreams come true! Speaking of dreams, I am also the newly crowned Miss Gay California Femme Fatale, and I will be competing for the National Title on May 19th and 20th in Roanoke, VA! Wish me love and luck!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people to thank! Starting with my mother, Gina Boyer. Strong women raise strong women, and she has definitely taught me and encouraged me to never give up! I also want to thank my amazing studio manager, Jessica Iniguez for taking the dance studio model, and making it fully functional and organized, allowing me more time to do what I do best which is create! Musically, my friend, songwriter, and producer JuniorTheArtist deserves a Major Shoutout! We have been working on my new project and 3rd album Bold and Brazen, and I am VERY proud of this new sound! My work-hubby, Anthony Frazer is also someone that I stand for and stand by, because we have major upcoming plans for 2021 as well!! I know that I can’t thank everyone individually; but of course, thank you to my friends, family, and fans! I am thankful for you every day, because of the continued support that keeps me pushing and thriving! I am very appreciative of anyone the believes in me, and with the success of my music, it inspires me to know and receive messages from people that MY music Made their day, or got them through hard times! I love the Impact that music has!
