We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Nagy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
An important lesson I have learned while working for myself is that it takes work, serious work. Patience, strategy, discipline, Redirection, and even failure.
I know those words will hit each person differently, sink differently…but starting your own business with no prior education, practice or experience is like remodeling a skyscraper and you have only lived in a house. Being young and bright-eyed, I dreamed of being my own boss. Imagining a world where I create it…
I can proudly say I have conquered more than I ever thought I would. I have learned what it means to lose small battles but to keep pushing for what’s to come. That I don’t have to be alone and I certainly do not have to do this by myself. I have learned to ask for help and to share knowledge with others. Let me be clear, I do not regret choosing to go and work for myself but for the other DIY’ers out there, my advice to you, find a second opinion and get help.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Truly what I love doing is capturing others’ stories and make them shine when I see them through my lens. Photography is my passion and I will continue making ordinary people shine bright and nailing that “one” photo they will cherish forever.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Three powerful individuals come to mind when it comes to thanking for their support and wisdom:
She and I have been friends since we were really young age and throughout my life, she has given me much inspiration for what I do. She is a queen and her heart is filled with gold.
He has given me mentorship along with wisdom and challenging the way I look through my lens.
This woman is fierce and honestly, terrifying… in the most positive way. She has helped shape me into what I have become. Without her, I wouldn’t have a clue about the business side of Photography. Helping me create a brand, figure out my scope of services, and so on. You want someone to kick your butt into gear and help make you successful, she’s who you want to hire.
