We had the good fortune of connecting with Tireek Cody & Jennifer Maybloom and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tireek & Jennifer, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting T&J Productions was to provide people with our unique, creative skills in order to help them capture precious moments, develop their ideas, and bring their visions to life. We think of our customers as family, so we will always give them our best.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Both owners of T&J Productions, Tireek and Jennifer, have creative backgrounds.
Tireek is a recent ASU Film School graduate that has spent the last 4 years perfecting his craft. Tireek has always had a passion for visual storytelling which naturally led him to film and the arts. The connections he made at ASU has helped him meet fellow creative individuals who he was able to learn valuable lessons and skills from when it comes to collaboration. For Tireek, T&J Productions isn’t just a business, it’s an opportunity to help people tell stories and express themselves.
Jennifer is currently enrolled in Sessions College for Professional Design as a Digital Media major. She didn’t want to focus on just one specific aspect of media, so she chose a major that has a little bit of everything. She takes courses in photography, graphic design, animation, production, and post production. Jennifer always had a passion for design, art and media, but she didn’t think she could make it on her own. It took her a while to finally figure out that this is what she as good at and what she wants to do for the rest of her life.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Grand Canyon and Sedona are such beautiful places and we would take anyone who visits Arizona there. As far as being closer to the city, Mill Ave is a great city atmosphere with great food spots, clubs, and even street performers. It gives a very New York City feel at night time, which is where both of us are from. Snooze is by far the best restaurant out on the West coast. They have amazing food, awesome service, and a nice atmosphere. Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall is one of the best malls there is to visit out here with all the high end and new stores. Lastly, South Mountain Park and Preserve is a great spot to watch the sunrise/sunset, go on a hike, or even just take beautiful pictures.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to dedicate our shoutout to our families and friends who encouraged us to start our business!
