We had the good fortune of connecting with Valerie Brion and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Valerie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to take a risk on myself, as a Esthetician I’ve always wanted to go Solo and start my own business.

What should our readers know about your business?
So Waxxed, LLC. is a full body hair removal studio located in Peoria, AZ. I as the owner strive to make sure my clients feel comfortable and are beyond satisfied with their services.

I’m most excited about expanding my service menu and offering plenty of other wonderful and effective services. My main goal is to always keep growing as a business and meet my clients needs.

Owning a business is not easy at all but it’s very much worth it. Finding my passion and taking that risk on my self was the best decision I’ve made! I overcome all my challenges by constantly reminding myself of my “Why” and keeping my faith strong as well as putting in the work behind it. It comes so easily when you’re doing what you love.

I have learned so much about resilience and being able to keep going no matter what challenge is ahead of me. The business world can be kinda scary but my goal is to learn one new thing about business a day so that I can sharpen my skills and continue to thrive.

I want the world to know that taking a risk on yourself will always pay off! So Waxxed started off as just an idea and I was always fearful to start but as long as you do your part, God will do the rest.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the city of Phoenix and it’s surroundings! There’s so much to do out here and many tasty restaurants to try. One of my favorite places to try new food is at First Friday, where every first Friday of the month vendors and food trucks come together on Roosevelt St. The vibes are immaculate and it feels amazing being surrounded by many business owners where we can all support each other!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout out to Selena Trejo who is my landlord for the suite I am renting out. She has been a big part of my journey and constantly motivates and supports all her tenants.
