We had the good fortune of connecting with Vianney Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vianney, how do you think about risk?
Thinking about risk taking usually brings fear or anxiety to people, the fear of failure or change. But taking risks is a daily thing and that’s what got me to where I am at now. Taking risks is gaining more insight on yourself as a person, knowing who you are inside and out, what you like/dislike, knowing who you want around you. It’s constant knowledge on not only yourself but your brand and future. It opens a lot of doors you don’t even notice it.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My art story, I was just an average 5 year old with a creative mind. I didn’t realize it was a passion until I grew older because it sounds like a cliché, but when someone tells you art can show you someone’s emotions, boy are they right. It was my escape from the world and the messy parts of my mind. When I perfected my mediums (acrylic paints, colored pencils, charcoal, markers, etc..). I wanted more. And that’s when the world of tattooing intertwined into my life. I knew in that moment I’d want to bring my work to life by putting it on skin. I’m nothing more than a self taught artist, and I’d like all my fellow creatives to know there’s no “traditional” way to go about things, do what works for you and what will help you perfect your craft
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s many factors in my story but the most prominent ones would be my family, my partner, my high school art teacher and my younger self. They all played their roles and gave me the encouragement, the motivation, that extra push and what kept me getting up early to work my previous 9-5 to obtain the financial stability to pursue my dream
