Meet William De Carvalho | WillfromBrazil Music and Entertainment

We had the good fortune of connecting with William De Carvalho and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi William, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
If it aligns with my purpose, while giving me and others joy – it’s a yes! If it challenges me – it’s a yes!
If I am scared of it – it’s a yes!
My personal favorite answer to the question “What do you do?” is:
– Whatever it takes

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It all started one late afternoon in the early 90s when I was sound asleep in the backseat of my uncle’s car. I was suddenly awakened by the tantalizing guitar riff played by Mark Knoepfler in Sultans of Swing and right there and then I decided I wanted to make music a pivotal part of my life. I began playing with classmates at the age of 12 and haven’t stopped since.
Originally I was taken by the genres we were listening to at the time, but it wasn’t too long until I realized that the possibilities of fusion music were endless.
From Brazilian to American music, with reinvented takes on many other styles, I like to keep my music fresh.
From local farmers markets to singing the national anthem at NBA games, I have learned that no opportunity is too small, if you are willing to give it all!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Sunset at South Mountain is a must do, as well as driving to Sedona, Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon and even south to the Catalina Mountains in Tucson.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My success in spreading joy through music and entertainment has always been enormously assisted by my many friends and colleagues in and out of the music and entertainment industry. Without them, I would not have come this far!
