To persevere or to pivot is a question that do-ers have been asking themselves since the beginning of time. It’s never a straight road when you are doing something new, blazing a trail, breaking a ceiling, or pushing boundaries, so it’s only natural to wonder whether to give up midway. How do you know whether to keep going or to give up?

There have been many periods in my life in which I have thought, it’s time to give up. There have been paths I’ve chosen that I felt like I failed. And I have spent quite a bit of time not believing in myself or if I should keep pursuing my dreams. But I know that every ounce, every step, every motion, is a move towards everything I want. I think it’s easy to have both sides of the coin. It’s either “well it’s too hard so give up,” or it’s “You have to push through otherwise you’ll never make it”. In my opinion thats a trick question. I personally live my life by not giving up. Here’s a very personal story, four years ago my father passed away very suddenly. Of course it shook my whole world to the core. There were days in which i did not want to get out of bed. But i always kept going. back to the thought of this , what would my dad say now if i chose to give up? I feel as though he would say Ben really you are giving up come now !
