Success has to be defined by each individual person. I define what success means for me by determining what I want my life to look like and working toward that. I take time to celebrate my wins and reflect on my losses, keeping of clear picture of the goal in mind. When working towards your definition of success, it can become a cycle of trying to get “there” with no clear picture, unless defined in the beginning. We see the successes of others via the news and social media and feelings of inadequacy creep in because we are not there yet, when in reality, we are each on our own individual paths of greatness. I think success is defined by how well you feel with your life in general. I don’t think success means getting huge projects but meaningful projects for you. You can live forever stressed about deadlines or thinking if your clients are going to be happy with your results. I believe you are successful if you can paint, draw or sculpt every day and have fun doing it and then cooking a fantastic dinner or just going to the park to read a nice book and enjoy a cup of coffee.
