We asked folks about legacy and what they want people to remember about them. We’ve shared some of those responses below.

Anna DePalma | Professional Golfer

I want to make sure I leave a positive and inspiring legacy. I want to show others especially young women that they can do anything they set their minds too. I have worked extremely hard to get to where I am, I have had success and struggles. I have over come hard times in my life. I believe talking about my hard times opens up the eyes of others showing them they are not the only ones. Golf is such an amazing game and has so many life lessons. I want to remind others that being able to over come your struggles makes you so much stronger. No one is perfect and be proud of who you are. Don’t ever forget where you came from. Remember everyone is different and that is okay, BE YOU! My mom tells me all the time “we have enough smart people in this world, not enough nice people”. That has stuck with me since I was young. I want to continue to inspire others to be kind, work hard, never give up on their dreams and life each other up. You are able to over come anything that comes at you with the right mindset and the right intentions. Read more>>

Outside of this charity work, we hope we’ve inspired others to take action both in their communities and in their personal lives. If someone sees what we’re doing and decides that they can follow their dream too, I feel like we’ve made the impact that we set out to. Read more>>

Melissa D’Orazio | Artist & Game Developer

I love creating and for as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted to contribute to human culture through art, to have my art be more than just something to look at. Currently, I really want to influence gaming culture and i’m focusing my efforts on creating a video game. Thankfully, my goofy art style feels it’s strongest when it’s interacting with people so it have been a really fun process. I am hoping that I can create an experience with both enjoyable game play and captivating art! I have spent my whole life drawing and playing video games so this feels like a really natural pairing for me, I can’t wait to show the world when it is finished and whether or not it is loved by many, I will have satisfied my goal and created a legacy in myself, which is most important! I will be able to die happy knowing I’ve created something that is truly representative of my art and my individuality, that’s how I want to be remembered; someone who set a goal, satisfied a niche audience of weirdos, and never stopped!
