Meet Tiffany Nakatani | Found-Her/Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Nakatani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started my own business, creating herbal tea blends, I needed support. It was the first time I had ever started a business. I had started creating tea blends around 4 years ago as part of a personal search for remedies to some issues I was having with my thyroid. That search grew into Love in a Cup LLC, my tea business and tea bar at Balanced Body Therapeutics. I found myself learning as I went along, and sought out different resources, and through that, I came across programs and other Women business owners that assisted and supported me. That put a passion in me to do the same for other women running a business or wanting to. And this is where Boss Women Unite was created. My purpose is to empower and support like-minded women who have the desire to take that step in starting or growing their business. The goal is to provide a space for “Boss Women” to showcase your products and passion to the community while having support from other women doing the same. I want us women to realize our potential as world changers, business owners, dream creators and heroines of our own stories.

What should our readers know about your business?
Boss Women Unite Creates a platform for women to showcase their passion to the community and have support while doing it. I have been able to set up markets for vendor events, I lease out Carts/kiosk at both Tucson and Park Place Mall and rotate a line up of vendors who can lease out for a day of several weekends at a time. Boss Women Unite also sets up dinner get-togethers with guest speakers that focus on topics to empower Boss Women based on their needs. They are given tools and resources to succeed over dinner, while able to network and build bonds and accountability partners over dinner. What sets Boss Women Unite apart from other vendor events is that it’s open to women in all fields whether a crafter, artisan, home-based business, have a business idea and want to test it or have been in business for a while and looking to market yourself. We hold space for all.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, I’d plan a staycation at one of the best art motels here in Tucson, Hotel McCoy. Then a hike through Sabino canyon one of the best places in Arizona to be in and connect with nature. Then enjoy lunch at Cafe A La Carte downtown due to the delicious food, best mimosas, beautiful ambiance and great staff.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shout out to the Women’s Business Center that really assisted me when I first got started in business by providing me with the tools, resources and information that I needed to grow. Also to Veronica Kea at Balanced Body Therapeutics who gave me the space in the beginning to set up and offer my products in her spa and believed in my growth and to my Boss sisters now who continue to support me and cheer me on Michelle Genardini, Shaundeka Tinsley, Barbie Hines and Zenaida Glenn and so many other Women. Last but not least, to my family, Husband JR Nakatani my girls, Jaydah and Journee and my Mama Christine Hamilton- Gross for believing in me and always supporting me, they’re my hype team and why I do what I do!
