We had the good fortune of connecting with Andria Muñoz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andria, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Absolute freedom. The freedom to create and the freedom to control how I spend my time is very important to me in this life.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I chose I profession that is constantly evolving. I enjoy challenging myself by reinventing new or older jewelry designs. Thinking outside the box is like an adrenaline rush for me. Designing has always come easily to me. I spend a lot of my free time researching and educating myself on ways that could enhance my skill level. I began using clay to make charms. After I got more comfortable I began using Epoxy Resin. Now I plan to start using metals, such as silversmithing. I got to where I am today by constantly pushing myself too better my skill sets. I think life is much easier when you have an open mind about learning. It took a lot of long hours and money to get to where I am today. In the end it was all worth it. This is my passion and it truly makes me happy. I want the world to know that I design jewelry that took a lot of thought and time out of me. The most important thing is that it’s made with love.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would not be where I am if it were not for the Mujeres Mercado and the non profit, E.L.L.A. I remember my very first pop up like it was yesterday. I remember feeling happy to be around a strong community of women. Since my first pop up a year ago I have met so many people. As time passes, I began to develop personal relationships with most of my clients. I want to give a shout out to everyone that took a chance on me and invested in me. Every person who has purchased something from me has helped me grow my business.
