Meet ANG | DJ/ Producer Duo

We had the good fortune of connecting with ANG and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ANG, how do you think about risk?

Risks are always present in every decision we take. Risk becomes a key part of success in any professional or personal endeavor. For us, we always try to take calculated risks but we have become aware that there will always be unavoidable risks in every business decision we take. When we have taken risks and the results have been positive it is a relief, and it feels like we made the right decision. However risks that sometimes do not end up in the best case scenario are also crucial, these kinds of risks are the biggest learning curve for every individual in business. Risk taking will always be present in every decision, therefore it is important to calculate and evaluate after your decisions, that way we can learn and evolve as professionals and persons.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are a music producer duo, focusing mainly on EDM in the sub generes of Trance, Big Room and Progressive House. We are always busy trying to come up with new music, new content for our social media, playing shows and nurturing our relationships with people in the industry and fans. Our distinctive melodies, and conceptual tracks have been very important to the recognition we have gained, and we have always been very proud of that. It has not been easy to get to where we are professionally, there has been a lot of hard work behind the scenes, many rejections and failures and a lot of learning curves. We have always had a mindset where we evaluate all of our wins and losses so we never trip on the same stone twice. Nowadays being an artist entails a lot of diverse work, from making the music, to being on social media, to being a performer, a video editor, copywriter and many other things. Working on this project is very exciting because you get to learn a lot of different stuff, and there is always room for creativity in every sense. The lessons are vast and we have grown as individuals along the journey, one of the main lessons being to never give up, to believe in oneself and to always use your support group, but always be willing to give back.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have never been to Phoenix but we would love to go soon. Hopefully someone can give us these recommendations and show us a good time whenever we are there.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We believe our success can be credited to many important people in our lives. At first we want to shout out each other, being in a partnership is not always easy. But we have always had a “team work makes the dream work” mentality, trying to leave our ego’s aside for the greater good of the project itself. Second shout out goes to our families, for always supporting us and believing in us in this career path we chose. Third shoutout is to our DJ friends, labels, team, promoters and all the people that work hard behind the scenes to bring our music and live shows to the masses. Without all of these hard working individuals ANG’s footprint in the EDM industry would not be possible. We have always believed that success can never be credited individually, as nobody can do everything alone. So shoutout to all the people that have been a part of this process for us.
