We had the good fortune of connecting with Cerila Gailliard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cerila, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is something I wrote which is “Your opportunity is on the other side of the Risk” by Cerila Gailliard. This reminds me to not be afraid to take risks otherwise I could miss out on opportunities for my business. It also serves as my motivation to remind me to not become stagnant and be willing to change in order to grow my business and myself.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Orchestrating Your Success LLC is a project management consulting business. We help businesses advance the ambitious goals through project management to remove barriers, maximize productivity and increase profits. We work on all aspects of project management however we really focus on directing businesses on how to START. GROW. and ADVANCE. their business to improve their project outcomes through project management. I always wanted to become a project management consultant. I wrote this goal out in 2003. I would say around 2014, I started to get really serious about becoming a project management consultant. Then in 2015, I filed the paperwork and started my business in project management. I am most proud of myself for not giving up on my goal. It took me a while to actually realize the goal but sometimes it is all about timing and having the right mindset. I did not know anything about owning a business. I mean college taught me theory about certain aspects of owning a business however theory and the actuality of running a business are two different things. This is why mentorship at the start of my business was crucial. I do not think I would be where I am today if I did not have mentors to guide me through my business. I will be celebrating 5 years in business this year, December 2020.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I would first take my best friend to Sedona. I think you have to spend some time up north for a few days. When we got back, I would take her around Downtown Phoenix. We would just take the light rail and walk around downtown. Go to a couple of Museums such as the Heard Museum, The Phoenix Art Museum. We would have breakfast at Matt’s Big Breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Vig Fillmore or the 1130 The Restaurant. I cannot forget about the coffee shops like Fair Trade Cafe and/or LUX Central. We would probably end with a SPA Day at the Biltmore or Camelback Inn.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to send a shout out to Kaaren-Lyn Graves. Kaaren-Lyn Graves is currently the Project Director for NABEDC. I met her at the ChallengerHer Event a couple of years ago while she was working at the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA). She has become an advocate who promotes me and my business to people in her network and potential clients. However, the most valuable quality is her mentorship. She really has helped me navigate this thing called Entrepreneurship.
