We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Haslett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my network. When launching a Business to Business company it can be extremely difficult to get off the ground. Before the launch of my business I years networking in the industry I wanted to be in. I not only gained the best support system and group of friends in doing so, but also my biggest source of leads. I could not be more thankful for the network I’ve built. My best advice for anyone looking to be successful in their industry is to network as much as possible!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business Highly Social specializes in marketing for the cannabis industry, we staff brand ambassadors for over 12 brands in the Arizona market. Highly Social also hosts a monthly event series “Cannafriends” that offers unique networking opportunity for those looking to break into the industry. I started the business as a way to offer an all-in-one promotion management company for brands not able to staff in-house brand ambassadors to go into stores and speak with consumers about what makes each brand unique. We offer exclusive teams for each brand to make sure their team can be experts on their brands products. Owning a business is never as easy as it looks, the road to where we are today was filled with challenges. I would be lying if I said I didn’t have the urge to give up multiple times, but I powered through and it was totally worth it. We are on our third year in business and it continues to grow and flourish. I couldn’t be more grateful for the patience this experience has taught me!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Arizona and everything it has to offer! My favorite activity to take out of town guests is kayaking Canyon Lake. I always pack a picnic to enjoy on the water after a nice day of sunshine! If we’re looking for something to do at night, Boondocks in Old Town scottsdale is always a favorite spot. You can’t beat the huge outdoor space! Although I don’t personally partake, their frozen cocktails are creative, and a nice way to cool down in our warm climate!
