Meet Deepika Haldankar

We had the good fortune of connecting with Deepika Haldankar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Deepika, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Naturely Goods is the brainchild of my husband. Our decision to start selling eco-friendly and sustainable goods was rooted in a strong desire to make eco-conscious living feel both attainable and thoughtfully integrated into everyday life.
It started with my experince in looking for eco-friendly items for everyday use. While looking for kitchen cleaning brushes, I wanted to replace plastic brushes. But during that time, there were not many options. The available ones were not sturdy enough nor aesthetically pleasing. We saw a gap between people wanting to live more sustainably and actually finding products that aligned with those values without compromising on aesthetics, quality, or functionality.
That’s what led us to create a platform that curates eco-friendly home, kitchen, and lifestyle products that are not only sustainable but also beautifully designed and practical for daily use. Each product is chosen for its quality and the story behind it.

What should our readers know about your business?
As I mentioned earlier, we realized there was a gap between people wanting to live more sustainably and actually finding products that align with those values without compromising aesthetics, quality, or functionality.
That’s what led us to create a platform that curates eco-friendly home, kitchen, and lifestyle products that are not only sustainable but also beautifully designed and practical for daily use. Each product is chosen for its quality and the story behind it.
Many of the products at Naturely Goods are made by artisans around the world. They are all handmade, hence each piece is unique. One of our goals is also to encourage small handicraft businesses and make their work easily available. So when someone orders a product from Naturely Goods, they are not only getting a one-of-a-kind handmade piece, but also helping an artisan grow his/her business.
Also, behind every order placed, a portion of the proceeds goes toward planting a tree in Kenya. We contribute a % of each sale towards tree planting because reforestation efforts revive natural habitats, improve coral reef health, support local livelihoods, and aid in the fight against climate change by extracting CO2 from the air. Trees are planted by EarthLungs Reforestation Foundation & Veritree in partnership with TheGoodAPI.
Beyond just offering products, our goal with the business is to simplify the transition toward a more mindful lifestyle. We wanted to remove the overwhelm that often comes with “going green” and instead present it as a series of small, intentional choices, whether it’s switching to reusable essentials, choosing natural materials, or being more conscious about consumption. Ultimately, the business is driven by the belief that sustainability should feel natural, inspiring, empowering, and not restrictive. Even the smallest shifts can create a meaningful long-term impact.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend is visiting, we would start our day by going to mom-and-pop breakfast joints. These have the best home-cooked breakfast. We would love to take them to the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) as our next stop, A quick lunch in between, and then go to Desert Botanical Garden. For evening and nightlife, we will spend time in Scottsdale.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Naturley Goods is the result of the desire to incorporate eco-conscious and sustainable living in everyday lives. Without making major changes to our everyday routine.
Our main goal is to provide high-quality bespoke goods to make your home eco-friendly. The inspiration came from stores like Bespoke Post and Huckberry.
We didn’t want it to be just another store, but wanted a purpose behind it. Sustainability and eco-friendliness are important causes for us.
