We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott & Sabrina Perry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Scott & Sabrina, what do you attribute your success to?
The biggest factor behind the success of our brand has been authenticity and consistency. We’ve never tried to create a version of ourselves that wasn’t real. The music, the live shows, the family life, and even the chaos behind the scenes are all part of the story.
Scott has always been the heart of the project through his songwriting and musicianship, whether it’s a solo acoustic set, our duo performances as Scott & Sabrina, or the full band experience. No matter the setup, the goal is always the same: create music that feels honest and connects with people.
As independent artists, we’ve learned that building a brand takes persistence and a willingness to keep showing up, even when things aren’t perfect. We think people connect most to what feels genuine.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We’ve built our music career from the ground up while balancing real life, parenthood, day jobs, and the constant behind-the-scenes work that comes with being independent artists. What sets us apart is that everything starts from a real place. Scott’s songwriting has always been the foundation, and whether it’s an intimate acoustic set, a duo show, or a full band performance, the goal is always the same: make people feel something honest.
The journey definitely hasn’t been easy. There’s been burnout, financial stress, self-doubt, late nights, and moments where we questioned whether to keep going. But every challenge taught us resilience and forced us to grow, not just as musicians, but as people and business owners too.
Right now, we’re most excited about building a brand that reflects who we really are: imperfect, hardworking, creative people chasing something meaningful. We want people to know that independent music isn’t just about performing on stage, it’s the countless unseen hours of writing, rehearsing, promoting, parenting, sacrificing, and still showing up anyway.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If someone was visiting our area, we’d start with a sunset on the lake and then head to some of our favorite local spots like Flying X Saloon, Hangar 24 Lake Havasu City, and HavaBite Eatery for food, drinks, and live music. We’d probably spend a night venue hopping, catching local bands, and soaking in the energy of the community that keeps the music scene alive here.
We also love the quieter side of Arizona… the desert drives, coffee shops, hidden lake spots, and late-night conversations after shows. That mix of wild energy and peaceful desert stillness is a huge part of what inspires both our music and our lifestyle.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We’d honestly dedicate this shoutout to the people who continue showing up. The local venues that took chances on independent artists. The musicians and friends who’ve stepped into rehearsals, late nights, and last-minute gigs with us. Our families for supporting a dream that doesn’t always come with stability or easy hours. And especially the people who come to the shows, stream the songs, share a post, or sing the words back to us. Independent music survives because of community, and we definitely haven’t built this alone.
