We had the good fortune of connecting with Jake Huebner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jake, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My wife Maddie and I started Wild Oak Supplements with the intention of making it something bigger than just another supplement brand. We wanted to make an impact on the world around us and help those who are in desperate need. Human Trafficking is becoming more and more prevalent each year and we want to aid in the destruction of this terrible issue. That is why we donate 10% of our net profits to the Tim Tebow Foundation in their mission to end human trafficking around the world.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We started Wild Oak Supplements a few months before I graduated Chiropractic school in December of 2020. I recently started my own Chiropractic practice called Colorado Muscle and Joint Clinic in Loveland, CO. The past 4 years have been amazing but there are always challenges along the way. Everyday presented itself with different challenges but I always found ways to push through them. I reminded myself daily of WHY I was doing what I was doing and that gave me the daily motivation to keep going. Discipline and consistency are two of the most important factors in any successful person and business. Ive learned a lot over the past 4 years but the most important thing I have learned is that RESULTS are the mirror of you EFFORT.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start by taking them to Rocky Mountain National Park and driving up to Trail Ridge Road. It is by far one of my favorite places on earth. I would then take them to eat at Beau Jo’s Pizza and then hit one of my favorite breweries New Belgium. I would also take them to hike up Horsetooth Rock in Fort Collins, take them to Estes Park, and I would love to take them fishing!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
