Meet Justin Villalobos: Artist/ Tattoo artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Villalobos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, what do you attribute your success to?
For me I think hard work and a good support group. I don’t know how to quit and having people close to you that support you and believe in you always helps!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a fine line black and grey tattoo artist. I specialize in fine line/ single needle black and grey tattoos. What sets me apart is probably the diversity in my art. I got to this point in my life with a lot of work! It was not easy I work almost 7 days a week all year around. In 2020 I did over 300 tattoos. 65 short of what I wanted but close enough lol. I learned that hard work and perseverance really works even though it’s a cliche phrase. If you really have a goal and put effort into reaching that goal you can make it happen! I love doing what I do!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Pasadena California and if I had a friend coming for a week I would take them to a hermit falls trail, then maybe we could get some sushi enya or and Italian restaurant called union. That’s pretty much all I have. We would have to figure something out I work so much I haven’t made the time to really go explore and have a full weeks worth of stuff to do.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is so many people I can think of that helped me along the way and that contribute to where I’m at right now. But the one who’s been there before it all and allowed me to have the freedom to explore and not tie me down with restrictions of what I had to be was my mom! So shout out to a real one that’s been there since day one! My momma!
