We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiolli Sydnor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kiolli, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When I think about risks it always lead to whether I’m going to soar and fly or fall. Its very scary, uncomfortable and life changing to say the least. Taking risks has played the number one role in my life and career, from working in Corporate America most of my adult life to becoming a full time momprenuer overnight. I would always think of ways how I could operate a business and still be able to make ends meet, but I found myself scared of the risks and opinions of others to deter me. It wasn’t until 2019 that I took a leap of faith, with no financial plan that I began to soar. I went from overlooked to now overbooked in the matter of months……..I am a true example that my risk was worth the wait!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What set me apart from others is my warm and inviting spirit that allows my clients to feel at ease and comfortable. Building rapport with each one of them has been a personal goal for myself because it opens up opportunities for advertising, support, and referrals. I am most proud that in a few months I would graduating from cosmetology school and will be able to provide full service for new and existing clients. The process has not been easy, in fact it took patience, lots and lots of patience that I didn’t think I had. With patience being key and hard work I wouldn’t change the process. I want anyone to know if you are looking to start your business START IT! And don’t look back no matter what.
