Meet Mercedes Lomboy | Owner & Content Creator of Living Loud Management

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mercedes Lomboy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mercedes, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I graduated from college in March, and I had no clue what I wanted to do. I earned my degree in English (Professional and Creative Writing) and knew I could go anywhere with it. Social media management and content creation was a hobby for me. I was doing it for free or a very small fee for the places I worked at. After college, I was working a 9-5 job while managing two social accounts for my past employers. The results I was seeing from my work were great! People started sharing my client’s posts and tagging their photos about the products. Sales grew and we started seeing more new customers. At this point, I was always thinking about my side gig. I knew it was really what I wanted to pursue.
I started telling businesses that I frequent what I do for a side gig and the importance of a social media presence for a business. I found that so many businesses neglect social platforms.
Business owners have a ton of things to worry about. That’s when I realized this was really a business I can tap into. I love being creative and I have a true passion for connecting with others, and social media is a great way to do both! It’s all about creating a community.
I let owners run their business and they can leave marketing on socials up to me. There is nothing like seeing businesses right in my backyard grow and thrive, nothing makes me happier.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets Living Loud Management apart from other social media agencies is how we create genuine connections with your online audience and community. I’m an advocate for organic growth and that’s what produces real connections and loyal customers. I create relatable content for my client’s audience, and the goal is to entice customers to share and engage with it. When you can get your customers to share your product, that’s when you will see massive growth, and that comes from your community. The community I’ve cultivated for my clients has opened opportunities to work with other businesses. It’s all about making connections and social media is a great tool to connect and reach people.
I’m most excited to see how I grow this year. It’s only been 6 months since I started my business full time. I am still learning how to operate all the components it takes to run a business and serve my clients well. I feel really good about what I have accomplished thus far, but I am ready and excited to diversify my clientele and reach new goals for myself and my clients!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Arizona has so much to offer. When I moved here from Washington State I was overwhelmed with all the things there were to do. When friends come to visit here are the places we visit:
-The Fix Drive-Thru Coffee for coffee
-Diego Pops
-Arizona Botanical Gardens
-Roosevelt Row
-Tacos Chiwas
-Thai Spices
-Social Hall
-Tempe Town Lake
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to my fiancé Justin. Without his faith in my work and ability to run my own business, I would have never taken the risk of going out on my own.
I’d also like to give a shoutout to my clients who put their trust in me to create content for their business and run their accounts. They give me the creative freedom to make content that embodies their brand and it is always the best feeling when my clients are happy with the content I make and the results they receive.
Lastly, I want to give a shoutout to my endlessly supportive family. I come from a family of entrepreneurs and strong successful women. I am constantly talking to them about business, how to handle tough situations, and everything else!
