We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Marjanovich and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I began jumping on a mini trampoline to flush my lymphatic system after hearing Tony Robbins speak on the benefits. I had had chronic anxiety and my obsession was with health. Although I was not jumping to effect my anxiety necessarily it quickly resolved itself after a couple months of my new routine. I would wait for it to return and it never did. I became so passionate about how amazing I felt. My body began to change and my anxiety went away. My self confidence was improving with every jump and I thought how can I tell people about this ‘Miracle’. After about 3 years of jumping solo, researching and creating moves I asked a couple friends to join me. They did. I thought I need more people to know how many benefits there are to this. I decided to make a small investment in a few rebounders (mini trampolines) and started a class in Sedona, AZ .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have practiced massage therapy for 18 years and never thought to be a fitness instructor. However my passion for the bodymind connection has been with me since I can remember. The way we are in the world and how that comes through in our movements and postures is fascinating.

I am a very physical person and feel great when I am doing something to exert energy in that way. I believe we can push past perceived limitations with physical exercise that will have a ripple effect into other areas of our lives. Knowing our bodies and trusting the messages they send to us is key to taking responsibility for our health. No one can know our bodies like we do. I encourage people to trust that their knee pain has information for them and it isn’t to grab a pain reliever. There is so much more to being physically fit than what we see in the mirror. It is loving who we see, no matter what. This is a mind set that can happen before the weight is lost, and typically does once we commit to a practice for our highest and best. Discipline needs to happen to shift a pattern.
But that discipline can be fun! And effective. We can play and know our bodies. We can laugh and still have an incredibly intense workout. We can see results very quickly when we appreciate the human looking back at us in that mirror. When we know who we are and appreciate that person anything is possible. Commit, stay in, sink into knowing where you want to give up and notice how amazing you feel when you don’t.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love all the hiking Sedona has to offer. West Fork is so beautiful this time of year. The Fall foliage is breathtaking and the crisp desert air is refreshing.

Going up Schnebly Hill Rd and sitting on the large rock under the full moon is a must. You feel held and totally loved under the night sky.

Breakfast at Pump House is great. Be sure and order a mocha with your food (quiche for me),
One of the best I’ve had.

Head over to Sedona Water Works and get their Sedona Magical Water, it really does have super powers. Rachel and David are RAD.

My friend Erin McDermott creates N incredible sound bath that should not be missed.
After sound healing we would head to Mariposa. A favorite restaurant and I like meat so I would definitely go with the burger. Lisa Dahl is genius.

Local Juicery for breakfast and a to-go lunch. We would hike Pyramid mountain and relax and enjoy the view while we drink our fresh juice.

Finish that off with some mellow time at the creek. The water is cold now but the energy of the creek is a must to sink into.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My friend Antony Berkman is definitely who I would like to give a shout out to. He encouraged me from the beginning. He listened to my ideas, was and has been my biggest cheerleader throughout this process. He offers sound advice and if I ever have the least amount of uncertainty he reassures me that its normal and to not rest there for any length of time. He has offered guidance, friendship, words or wisdom and tons of laughter. I am so grateful.
