We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Shelley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
I would like to do flowers everyday until my time is done hahaha. My ultimate end goal would be to have a private studio or storefront showcasing photos and bouquets Ive accomplished all through my career of Bouquet Babyy. I possibly see an all pink studio coming my way :))) I’d also be open to expanding my team of course and working along side anyone who would like to join me on this passionate journey. I dont see shipping bouquets as an option anymore unfortunately but possibly expanding and opening this career path for others once I am done.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
So with Bouquet Babyy, I was truly looking to step away from typical dated grocery store flowers as gifts to loved ones. (sorry to anyone on a budget) I did that for many years for my own family. I wanted to create a business to offer more unique and custom flower bouquets. I wanted someone to tell me all of their special person’s favorite things and I somehow display that onto their arrangement. I’m proud of all the beautiful bouquets Ive designed in just these 3 years of business, My proudest moments are when I deliver or my clients pickup and my client is filled with joy once they see their bouquet. That alone can make my day. Getting where I am today took alotttt of consistency. Wow. Its definitely true what they say, “running a business is not for the faint of heart” I would also say overcoming challenges are continuous, it never goes away. In my opinion that would be one of the toughest if not the toughest part of being an entrepreneur. I would like the world to know that if they trust in Bouquet Babyy, their not only buying a flower arrangement but an arrangement that was cared for and designed as if it were given to my own family. I care about every small detail that goes into my bouquets. I tell my clients all the time. “this is my life”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So if I had visitors, We would start the morning at Lux Coffee shop in downtown Phoenix, Everyone there is so nice and welcoming. We would then go to El Fame Cafe right down the road, wed have some amazing brunch and mimosas to start our day! We could stop also at Phoenix Art Museum to check out the latest exhibit. Hopefully I dont have to do an arrangement because if we do, we are def going to We Got Flowers in downtown Phoenix as well! Its such a cute place, I can show them all the beautiful fresh Ecuadorian flowers fresh from the cooler. I’d introduce them to my second family and Juliana Benharbon, the owner!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My great Grandma aka Nana Landa deserves a huge shoutout in contribution to my success so far. She always talked about and had a great passion for floral designing and her work once it was on display at a funeral or anywhere she designed. The funny thing is I never took it serious until now. Or until 3 years ago when she sat down with me and shared some knowledge and major building blocks about florals and starting a bouquet business. Shoot I used to sneak and poke holes in her floral foam all the time as a kid. hahaha
