We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiara Carroll/ Genaī Lanae and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiara and Carroll, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My daughter Genaī. She is the inspiration behind the idea for Amor of GLaM. She is a tough girly girl with three brothers and was always in my makeup. So I asked her if she wanted to make her own, and of course, she said, “yes”. She is a social butterfly, loves anything that sparkles, and has a very colorful imagination. So I wanted to create a brand that encapsulated all of that. As a nurse with a background in esthetics, I already had an extensive knowledge base in skincare. I knew high-quality ingredients, and I wanted to create something safe and natural based for everyone to use. So we began researching, and I consulted with other business owners because I want Genaī to be involved in the business. I also focused on getting a better understanding of how to capture her interest, how to make it fun, and encourage her to actually “want” to be involved. At the tender age of 4, you can only imagine how easy it was for her to get distracted or lose interest. I wanted to make sure this was something that she wanted to do, so when it is time for her to take the lead, I will be able to fall back and be there to assist. So she is the primary source of all things AOG. She chose her colors, picked out lip gloss tubes, all the accessories, flavor oils, and scents. I am amazed by how much she wants to participate. To this day, her customer service skills are improving, and she is getting more comfortable speaking. I am so proud of her. I am also looking forward to continuing to build her brand and her taking over one day. Our goal is to encourage self-love, positivity and focus on building long-lasting relationships between moms, daughters, aunts, nieces, cousins, etc. By incidentally providing self-care products and accessories that you both can benefit from and enjoy together.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Amor of Glam is a luxury cosmetic/accessory business that we started in September 2020 for our daughter Genaī. She is now 5yrs old and everything from the brand colors were picked by her! We are based in Maricopa, Arizona📍 We are all about encouraging self love, positivity, and building long lasting relationships between mom, daughters, aunts, nieces, cousins, etc. By incidentally providing self care products that you both can benefit from and enjoy together. She loves sparkles, glitter, anything that shines😍 I am a RN and make all of her lip gloss with natural based ingredients. It is vegan and cruelty free made under very strict sanitation guidelines. We offer lip gloss, lip oil, lip balm scrub, matte lipstick, jewelry, small purses, keychains, roll on perfume and spray, so much more. I use a vegan lip gloss base and infuse it with moisturizing skin loving oils like aloe Vera oil, Grapeseed oil, vitamin E, and castor oil. Providing a smooth consistency, non sticky, and moisturizing formula safe for everyone to use. I’m most proud of the growth I’m seeing in my daughter, she is honing in on her social skills, and learning the foundation of being an entrepreneur. It was not easy getting to where we are today but we did with the help from family and so many other amazing business owners that I’ve connected with along the way. Their support has kept me encouraged and my faith in Gods plan. Throughout this journey I’ve learned that consistency and knowing “why” your doing what your doing is the motivation you need to keep going. I want the world to know that at the end of the day you are your biggest supporter, you have to believe in your self and have faith in what your doing or nothing you do will succeed. Our brand will be successful and you will know it when you see it.🥰

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well we are a family of 6 so we go to places that are kid friendly. We have our top 5 listed below that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. The Revelry- Food, drinks, indoor arcade, pool tables, virtual shooting range, virtual golf

Jakes Unlimited- indoor family fun for everyone. They have food buffet, drinks, arcade games, rides, laser tag, and bowling

Main Event- also indoor family fun for everyone. They have food, drinks, arcade games, laser tag, pool tables, and bowling

Osaka Japanese Steak house- great food and service. The professional chefs cook the food right in front of you

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Guy Moultry. As we all know it is not easy being a small business owner, working full time, and managing a household of six. My husband definitely keeps us grounded and provides me the support that I need physically, emotionally, and mentally. Rhonda Jackson- my mother and huge supporter, always flys in to help when I need her
