We are both Tucson natives and we were raised in a multicultural and multigenerational environment. Our dad, originally from Colorado, moved to Tucson to be closer to his family. I’m originally from the land that’s the major producer of olive oil. From a land where taking a walk can be a sensory therapeutic experience: from vibrant citrusy notes of orange blossom to calming lavender and delicious, herbaceous rosemary. I still remember very vividly the scent of jasmine and magnolia flowers in my mom’s small but beautiful garden. A little oasis she built over the years. Hello my name is Kizzy Reece and I am born and raised in Randolph, Arizona which is about 5 miles for Coolidge Arizona. I grew up in a small town where everyone knows everybody and everyone is pretty much related. I feel extremely lucky to have seen many facets of life while growing up! I was born in Los Angeles. Don’t remember living there my dad moved us to Piscataway, NJ. I say, I learned how to talk there and eventually spent most of my life right outside of Washington, DC in Fairfax, VA. I was raised by multi-cultural parents who are comprised of many cultures themselves.
