The investment, be it monetarily or your heart and soul. A person looks at a piece of your work and asks, “well it only took you a few days to make this, why som high a price?”. I am really just beginning my sort of 2nd act journey and part of that was definitely finding out how to manage work like balance! Learning to juggle and balance my career has definitely had its ups and downs. I’m not only a tattoo artist but I am also a mother to two beautiful babies. When I initially got into the tattoo industry as an apprentice, I was working 6/10’s and it was exhausting to say the least.
I was figuring out how to dedicate so much of my time into tattooing while also making time for my family at home. I have been lucky enough to have an extremely strong support system through my family. I’m guessing that I feel very different about risk than the average human. As a skydiver and helicopter pilot, I’ve learned to make calculated decisions.
