What leads to success?

I would say remaining authentically “me” has helped maintain the success of my brand. Since my business/brand is ME, I have always felt it was important to keep consistent with who I am, what I say, and what I offer. The moment I step away from that, it will show and affect my business. Early on I listened to everyone’s wants for my life. When I took that road I was miserable. Wherever I landed at the time, college classes, random jobs etc. I had no interest in the “the job” or in the cubicle, I just knew it wasn’t for me. I didn’t know how to achieve more at that time but knew there had to be more than just wasting away in a cubicle. I have been faced with the challenge of legal blindness for all my life. With stubborn determination, I have faced society’s stigma against those with disabilities and struggled with my own perception of insufficiency. Yet, that has never stopped me. An important lesson I have learned while working for myself is that it takes work, serious work. Patience, strategy, discipline, Redirection, and even failure. I know those words will hit each person differently, sink differently…but starting your own business with no prior education, practice or experience is like remodeling a skyscraper and you have only lived in a house.
