What’s one of the most important decisions you’ve made?

I’d have to say the most important decision I made was to ask myself this question: What is it that I can contribute in this time and era to lead to the expansion of consciousness? This has to be closing down my budding fashion business in Nigeria, quitting my full time job as a consultant, relocating to the United States to pursue a Masters of Business Administration and then starting off a new life afterwards. My decision to be patient while I worked for other organizations was really important to my success. I’ve always been anxiously waiting to start my entrepreneurial journey, but I knew I lacked a lot of the skills and experience I would need to run a healthy and successful business. I decided to tame my energy and be patient, work hard at a variety of companies both big and small, and allow myself to learn as much as I could, diligently taking notes on what was working and not working at the companies I worked for. Honestly it has to be leaving my 9-5 to focus on my business full time. I’ve been making jewelry to close to 10 years now and I’ve had a regular job the entire time. This was a blessing and a curse. On the one hand I had the steady income needed to fund my business but at the same time I was having to turn down a lot of opportunities that could help grow my business. Now that I have quit and only work for myself my business has grown significantly and I am learning and doing things that I never thought I’d be able to. Read more>>
